SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – February 11, 2002 – Ensenda, Inc., an immediate delivery service that enables same day delivery, today announced a relationship with Canadian-based Courier Complete, which provides the industry leading solution for managing the entire courier business process.
Ensenda is an immediate delivery service that is both fast and inexpensive due to its unique routing and tracking technology that enables merchants to fulfill from local store inventory, which is already close to the customer. It has established a national courier network of 10,000 uniformed delivery personnel in over 120 markets in the US and Canada. Upon receipt of an order, a courier within the network is deployed for immediate delivery of everything from prescription drugs to personal computers at less than the cost of traditional overnight express services.
The relationship between Ensenda and Courier Complete simplifies the opportunity for courier companies to become a part of the Ensenda delivery network by integrating Courier Complete’s software with Ensenda’s Extranet system. Currently Ensenda provides a proprietary technology solution to its delivery partners, and serves as a hassle-free intermediary between retailers and the courier. If a courier within the Ensenda network, however, is already using the Courier Complete solution, the new relationship eliminates the need for a second system. The integration instead allows those companies to use just one system for all their deliveries – Ensenda or non-Ensenda.
Ensenda will also continue to provide its browser-based solution to companies that are not deployed with Courier Complete. Through the relationship, however, Ensenda and Courier Complete will cross-promote their products and services, allowing for increased recognition of both companies.

In addition, using the Courier Complete 2-way data component, a courier company, as well as Ensenda, can receive delivery updates via any WAP enabled mobile device.
Ensenda’s founders are Chris Mannella, president and chief executive officer, and Rob Howard, vice president of business development. Mannella, a former Webvan.com executive, teamed with Howard, who has extensive experience in the courier industry and Internet retailing, to develop a delivery model that combines low overhead, minimal infrastructure and quick scalability.
