Toronto, ON – January 24, 2012 – Complete Innovations Inc. has given The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) 25,000 reasons to smile. On January 26 at 12:30 PM, the employees from Complete Innovations Inc. will be presenting a cheque for $25,000 – the total funds raised from their 30 day campaign in December.

The 30-day workplace campaign enlisted employees, customers and partners in charitable giving during the month of December. The employees worked hard organizing fundraisers such as donating $5.00 from each new Canadian subscription activation, and various departmental donations, such as the Research & Development Department, who produced extra features to raise funds, and the Professional Services department, who engaged customers like APPLE EXPRESS, A&B Courier, All Canadian Courier, and Cardinal Couriers to donate to SickKids. The funds will go towards the highest priority needs at the Hospital.

“We are so proud of the fundraising efforts put forth by our employees, customers and partners in December,” says Tony Lourakis, CEO of Complete Innovations Inc., “We chose to donate to SickKids because some of our employees have experienced the amazing care the Hospital provides, and we were all very motivated to help out a Hospital that has affected our staff.”

For employee Vincent Lai, the campaign allowed him to give back to the Hospital that helped his family. Vincent’s daughter was born with Pulmonary Atresia, a malformation of the heart valve obstructing the flow of blood from the heart to the lungs. She underwent surgery to repair the valve when she was born.

“We took comfort in knowing we had one of the best hospitals and people in the world attending to our daughter. It’s remarkable how such an operation can happen on such a tiny human being and a testament to the amazing work and research being done at the Hospital,” says Vincent. “We are forever grateful not only to the nurses and doctors that took care of our daughter, but also to the hospital and everyone that they employ. They make our world a better place and replaced our despair with hope and happiness.”
